Hi! I'm Megan. I'm a freelance graphic designer and illustrator trying to add a little more beauty to the world.
I have a bachelor's degree in Art and Art History from Colgate University, and completed a senior thesis in Printmaking. After school, I moved to Washington DC, where I worked briefly at a marketing agency before deciding to go to law school. After a year at William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, I ultimately realized I was more interested in the colonial interior decor than my casebooks, and returned to my artistic roots.
I love incorporating calligraphy, pen and ink illustrations, and watercolor into my work, and prefer the texture and warmth of hand drawn and hand painted pieces. I find inspiration in the natural beauty and seasons of the Pacific North West, vintage children's books, field guides and botanical illustrations, and old embroidery patterns.
I have a line of wedding invitations available at Charley Paper Company, and art and fabric designs for sale at Minted and PBTeen. I have worked on numerous projects with Dartmouth College, including the famed Dartmouth winter carnival poster. I also work with several independent stationers around the country on custom illustration projects, and my illustrated maps are sold in shops in San Francisco and Austin.
